Sachet Portal

Sachet is the Reserve Bank of India's public-facing portal for reporting unauthorised financial entities. It's the right channel when a borrower suspects a loan app, lender, or investment scheme is operating without RBI registration — i.e., a fake loan app or fraudulent entity. Reports submitted to Sachet are reviewed by RBI's surveillance team and can trigger investigation, regulatory action, or referral to enforcement authorities. Sachet is distinct from the Banking Ombudsman: Ombudsman handles complaints against RBI-registered lenders; Sachet handles reports against unauthorised entities. The portal is free and accessible 24/7.
