Account Aggregator (AA)

An Account Aggregator is an RBI-licensed NBFC that operates under the Account Aggregator framework, enabling consent-driven sharing of financial data between regulated financial institutions. When you authorise an AA, it pulls your bank statements, FD/RD details, mutual fund holdings, or insurance policy data from one financial entity and securely transmits it to another — typically a lender doing underwriting or a financial planner doing portfolio analysis. The AA itself cannot view your data; it only transmits encrypted payloads. The framework forms the technical backbone for instant loan approvals based on real bank-statement data without manually uploading PDFs.
